Welcome to my new blog. I have thought long and hard about writing down my thoughts and running stories and never quite got round to it. So finally I'm putting pen to paper (or tapping on my keyboard) and getting the show on the road. I'm Kerstine. Physiotherapist, mum, runner, and a woman of 6ft 1". I've spent my life with the end of my arms poking out of sleeves, dreaming of being able to wear beautiful high heels and looking slightly odd in photos. My life has been an up and down of various cock ups interspersed with amazing achievements (of which I will share some of them along the way.) I run my own business as a private MSK physiotherapist and am currently well into my 4th year in my clinic. I'm immensely proud of what I've achieved and couldn't have done it without my very patient partner Steve. I've started this blog to share my thoughts, tips, advice and physio knowledge and my experiences as a women in her (ahem) 40s who sees the world from a 6ft perspective.

I'm passionate about running but I'm also passionate about keeping myself fit. I am well aware of the changes we face as we age and as I shuffle, like a naughty school girl going to the headmasters office, towards the menopause I am even more aware of the importance of keeping my bones and muscles strong. I weight train regularly and although I do eat way too much bad stuff I'm not in bad shape. I have a few wobbly bits I could do with shedding but hey who doesn't? So if you love running, want to learn more about bulletproofing yourself and want to find out a bit more about life as 'bigbird' then this is the blog for you. Who knows where it will take me but my life has been a little bit like that over the years.
